Equine Massage / Muscle Therapy

What is Equine Massage/Muscle Therapy?

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissue to achieve drainage, relaxation, stimulation, and the release of muscle compromise such as trigger points and stress points. The healing function of massage therapy accelerates recovery from injury and supports the body’s ability to function efficiently and healthfully.

Benefits for Every Horse

When your horse feels their best, they perform their best. Routine massage helps active partners, lesson horses, competitive horses, and seniors maintain comfort, flexibility, and joy in their work.

First Appointment Includes:

  • Assessment and gait evaluation
  • Range of motion evaluation
  • Customized massage session tailored to your horse’s needs

Sessions conclude with a detailed summary of the areas treated, muscles requiring special attention, and optional stretches or exercises to reinforce progress between visits.

Requirements

  • Please have your horse free of dirt and manure. A $10 grooming fee is applied if moderate cleaning is required prior to massage.
  • Plan to have your horse ready so the full hour can be dedicated to hands-on work.
  • Provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel a session. The full rate applies without adequate notice.
